I was born of second generation Japanese parents in Hawaii and raised between here and California. I honorably served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Since returning home in 1974, I worked for many years with my father as an electrician then as a part owner of a wholesale distributor and a travel director. Since 1976 I have invested in real estate.
We must overhaul Hawaii’s public school system. Education is very important for the future of our children. We must invest in educational excellence, starting with quality pre-school for all and create higher expectations and more innovative ways of learning from birth, K-12 in education. I will make Hawaii return to its core values and we will become the nation’s leader in early childhood development and other issues as we once were. I will create new infrastructure, make Hawaii more energy independent, set land aside so we can grow our own foods, restore and be good stewards of our environment, give tax incentive’s to business’ to hire more people and create more jobs. Resolve long standing Native Hawaiians issues. We must have full Equality for all of our citizens. I want to provide respectable long term care facilities and necessary medicine and medical care to our elderly and all of those in need. I know personally the problems of the elderly for I was a caregiver to my parents for 14 years and also for 2 years for my sister who had cancer. I know what compassion, caring and dedication are. I believe in term limits for all of our elected officials.
Elections are not simply a choice between Democrats and Republicans, but rather a choice between people, values and the vision’s that we believe in, we need a bold and decisive leader who can stand up and fight the status quo, a leader capable of setting our priorities to improve our lives today and to invest in our future, the future of our children and our grandchildren. We need a leader who will provide a strong, honest, innovative and visionary leadership who is able to make Hawaii an even greater and better place to live. It is time for real change, new leadership Hawaii and the time is now I am that Leader that will provide that Leadership.
I have no ties or obligations to any contributors. I am my own person. I do not have or pretend to have all the answers to our problems. I do have an open office and an open mind to listen to all suggestions and try to find the best solutions. I intend to surround myself with the best and brightest of Hawaii.
